Brazil and Roma Goalkeeper Allison was identified by both Liverpool and Real Madrid as their first choice target this summer, and there had been suggestions the Reds had offered him a contract.

But now, According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Real are leading the race for Allison after he agreed to the terms offered by the Spanish club.

It is claimed that since an opening bid of £44m + bonuses swiftly rejected by Roma, Liverpool are yet to submit another bid.

That has now allowed Madrid jump in, negotiating a contract with Allison's representatives while making an initial offer of £48m to Roma - who still demand a fee closer to £70m.

Although the two clubs are someway after from their valuation, Real are now expected to keep up their pursuit of the Brazilian with a growing optimism that a £52m Bid + bonuses will be accepted by Roma next week.

Recently, Real Madrid President Florentino Perez quizzed that, for£70m,
'Liverpool can buy [Allison]', he is keen to try and wrap up a deal.

Other Goalkeeper target David De Gea is set to sign a new five-year contract deal while Chelsea rejected Real's approach for Thibaut Courtois.
