The Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) has condemned the recent cut-off mark announced by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The union said the cut-off mark pegged at 120 by JAMB is a disgrace to Nigeria's education system.
Speaking during the 2017 World Teachers' Day, the national president of NUT, Olukoya Alogba, said the new cut-off mark is detrimental to the standard of education in Nigeria.
Alogba said the new cut-off mark implies a 30% nonconformity with the merit pass in any examination.
