Willian’s strike against Brighton has been nominated for the Premier League Goal of the Season award, and the Brazilian’s name will be on the match ball which is being used in Saturday’s FA Cup final as part of the FA’s Ball For Allinitiative.
Willian’s wonderful goal in our 4-0 win at Brighton in January is one of nine strikes nominated for the Goal of the Season prize, and supporters can vote for the Chelsea attacker to win.
Only last week, Willian picked up the Chelsea Goal of the Season award for the goal against Chris Hughton’s side, a wonderful team move which included back-heels from both Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuyi.
The list of nominations is made up of goals which have won the various monthly awards throughout the season.
Players from across football will have their names at the heart of this season’s FA Cup final, with the FA placing the names of 137 scorers from the 2017/18 competition, including Willian, on the Nike Ordem V match ball, which will be used at Wembley on Saturday.
The Ball For All celebrates players from different levels of the game, who all share the accolade of being a goalscorer in the world’s oldest domestic cup competition.
