2018 World Cup: Wilfred Ndidi Reveals When He Will Return From Injury

Super Eagles Midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has revealed when he will recover injury ahead of the 2018 World Cup.

Ndidi has stated that he will be fit before Nigeria's first Group match against Croatia in Russia.

The Leicester City Midfielder who is now back the Super Eagles camp after suffering an hamstring injury while playing for his club side said he's recovering faster and also looking forward to next month's tournament in Russia.

”I will say I am good and fine. I am looking forward to the World Cup. We have so many friendly games. We have been preparing so hard not just now, we’ve been preparing for a long time,” Ndidi told allnigeriasoccer.

”We just look forward to it and then go all the way for it, every game is very important,” he said.

When asked if he will be fit for Nigeria’s World Cup opener against Croatia on June 16, Ndidi replied: ” Yes, by God’s grace”.

He added, ”All I have to say is for them to keep supporting the Super Eagles and then pray for the team. Just sit down, relax and enjoy the football.”

Ndidi will hope to feature when Nigeria face England at Wembley on June 2nd before facing Czech Republic in their final Pre-world Cup friendly in Austria on June 6.
