WENGER AND LUIZWith David Luiz having fallen out of favour at Chelsea, the reigning Premier League champions may consider his sale in January. And according to the Daily Express, a queue is forming, and Arsenal are at the front.
Neil Fissler claims the exclusive that the Gunners are ‘leading the pack’ for Luiz. ‘The Gunners have had concerns about their central defence all season and he would certainly add some strength to the department,’ he writes.
But there is obvious consternation about selling to a rival. Oh, and Neil Fissler is the same bloke who reported that Arsene Wenger was going to leave in March, before exclusively writing that he was staying a fortnight later. We’re starting to doubt his credentials.

IT’SA MEAfter his latest complaint about Manchester City’s spending, all eyes will be on Jose Mourinho and where Manchester United spend their funds in the winter. The 0-0 draw with Southampton on Saturday leaves them in danger of staring down a 17-point gap after 21 games.
The third-placed side therefore have plenty to do in January, and their plans begin with flogging Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Inter Milan. But they will look to keep the Italians at the negotiation table, for they will want someone in return.
According to The Sun, United are eyeing a move for midfielder Joao Mario. Mike McGrath says the Euro 2016 winner ‘is not happy’ at the San Siro, but is yet to request his departure.
Interest from United could tempt him, however. Mourinho believes Joao Mario could be the ‘long-term replacement’ for Michael Carrick. So expect him to leak stuff to the media and get p*ssed off about Paul Pogba.

KANE SWAPAnd completing the trifecta of reliable transfer sources, sitting proudly alongside the Express and The Sun, is the Daily Star. They report that Real Madrid are preparing a ‘mega deal’ to sign Harry Kane.
The Spanish side are ready to offer ‘a £150million cash-plus-player package’ for Kane, which would include Gareth Bale heading back to north London.
Paul Hetherington states that no such deal will go through in January however, and that there are numerous obstacles to overcome. Such as whether Bale would want to move to Tottenham, and how Tottenham would afford his astronomical wages.
‘But Bernabeu interest in Kane is growing with every goal he scores and Real WILL investigate ways of signing him,’ Hetherington writes. Well that’s alright then.
