Obasanjo, govs, others to grace South East economic summit

Arrangements have been concluded for the upcoming South East Economic Summit being convened by the governors of the region.
The summit, among others, is being put in place to harvest ideas that would help to reposition the zone for sustainable economic development.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, five governors of the South East, former minister of Power, Prof. Barth Nnaji, among others, are expected to attend the summit.
In a statement in Abakaliki, Director-General of the South East Governors Forum secretariat, Prof. Simon Ortuanya and Director, Media and Communication, Michael Udah, the governors stated that the three-day summit would hold between November11-13, 2017 at the Base Place.
“The South East Governors’ Forum (SEGF) in partnership with UK AID–Department for International Development (DFID), Partnership to Engage, Reform and Learn (PERL) and South East Region Economic Development Company (SEREDEC) is organising a South East Economic Summit (SEES 2017) with the theme: “Repositioning the South East For Rapid Economic Development.
“Chairman on the occasion is former chairman, Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG), Prof. Anya O. Anya, while the keynote speaker is Chairman, African Centre for Business Development, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, .
“Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, will be the chief guest of honour.”
Dr. Gregory Ikechukwu Ibe, Chancellor/Founder, Gregory University, Uturu, Abia State; Dr. Uju Agomoh, Executive Director, Prisoners Rehabilitation and Welfare Action (PRAWA), Chair, NU Strategy Committee and Secretary NU Business Think Home Initiative.
