Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel Agu, scored his second goal of the season, as his club Bursaspor romped to a 4-0 win over Antalyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
Agu opened scoring for Bursaspor in the 37 minutes before further goals from Aziz Behich, Jires Kembo-Ekoko and Pablo Martin Batalla helped them completed the rout against ten men Antalyaspor.
The goal was Agu’s second in his last three games after opening his season’s account in their 3-1 win over Osmanlispor two weeks ago, a feat which earned him a team of the week nomination.
His compatriot at the club William Troost-Ekong also had a solid game for Bursaspor as he was part of a back four that helped shut out Antalyaspor, despite the introduction of Africa soccer legend, Samuel Eto’o late into the game.
In England, Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi was instrumental to Leicester City’s 2-0 victory over Everton at the King Power Stadium.
Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench few minutes to the end of the game, while Ahmed Musa was missing from the matchday squad.
The win which is the third win for Leicester launched the club to the 11th position on the table with 12 points.
The players are expected to be in the squad of Nigeria for their upcoming World Cup 2018 tie against Algeria, and later a friendly game against Argentina in Russia.
