Students of the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, this morning blocked the Lokoja-Abuja highway following a fatal accident involving a Dangote truck.
According to PoliticsNGR, about five people reportedly died in resulting multiple accidents. A student of the polytechnic was one of the casualties, which caused serious tension at international market, along Lokoja-Abuja highway.
The traffic light at the junction got vandalized by the angry youths before police officers arrived at the scene and fired tear gas to disperse the protesters but had to retreat when they exhausted the teargas they came with.
